Welcome to the Seattle Integrative Hormone & Thyroid Clinic FAQ page. Here you'll find answers to common questions about appointments, telehealth care, pricing, and what to expect when beginning care.

Our clinic serves patients in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, Spokane, and throughout Washington State through secure telehealth visits.

Appointments & Getting Started

What is the first step to becoming a patient?

The easiest first step is scheduling an Introductory Consultation.

This visit allows us to:

• review your health history
• discuss your symptoms and goals
• determine whether advanced lab testing may be helpful
• create an initial strategy for your care

Many patients come to us after struggling with persistent symptoms such as fatigue, hormone imbalance, thyroid issues, or metabolic changes.

How long are appointments?

Appointments are intentionally longer than typical primary care visits so we can understand the full picture of your health.

Typical visit times include:

Initial Visit
60 minutes

Lab Strategy Visit
60 minutes

Follow-Up Visits
30–45 minutes

This allows us to carefully review symptoms, lab results, and treatment progress.

Telehealth Across Washington State

Do I need to live in Seattle to become a patient?

No.

Seattle Integrative Hormone & Thyroid Clinic provides secure telehealth appointments for patients across Washington State, including:

Seattle
Bellevue
Tacoma
Everett
Spokane
and surrounding communities.

Telehealth allows patients to receive specialized hormone and thyroid care without traveling long distances.

How do lab tests work if I live outside Seattle?

Lab testing is coordinated with local laboratories near you, such as:

LabCorp
Quest Diagnostics
specialty functional laboratories when appropriate

Your results are then reviewed during your follow-up appointment as part of your treatment plan.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept insurance?

Seattle Integrative Hormone & Thyroid Clinic is a private-pay practice — we don’t bill health insurance companies directly for visits with Dr. Baptist.

Payment for visits is made at the time of your appointment.

Many patients prefer this model because it allows for longer visits, deeper testing, and more individualized treatment strategies.

Can I submit my visit to insurance?

Many patients choose to submit their visit receipt and documentation to their health insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Coverage varies depending on your individual insurance plan.

We recommend contacting your health insurance company to ask about:

• out-of-network provider reimbursement
• coverage for naturopathic physicians
• telehealth visit coverage

What visit codes are commonly used?

If you plan to contact your health insurance company, the visit codes commonly used for appointments include:

Initial visits
99204 or 99205

Follow-up visits
99215

Your health insurance company can help determine whether reimbursement may be available for these services.

Costs & Care Programs

How much does the first appointment cost?

Initial Visit – $450
60 minutes

What are the costs for follow-up visits?

Lab Strategy Visit – $500

Follow-Up Visits – $350

Follow-up visits allow us to review lab results, adjust treatment plans, and monitor your progress.

Typical Care Plan Investment

Most patients require a series of visits to properly evaluate, test, and optimize their health.

• Discuss thyroid and hormone symptoms

• Recommend appropriate testing
• Develop an individualized treatment plan

Do you offer structured care programs?

$1,750 total

Individual visits: $2,000

Program price: $1,750
Save $250 with the Vitality Series

What the Program Includes

The Vitality Series includes:

• Initial Visit
• Lab Strategy Visit
• Three Follow-Up Visits

Care is completed over approximately 6–8 months, allowing time to:

• Review advanced lab testing
• Adjust treatment strategies
• Monitor hormone and thyroid changes
• Support long-term health improvements

Why Patients Choose the Program

  • Clear, structured care plan

  • Better long-term outcomes

  • Fewer gaps or delays in treatment

  • Greater value compared to individual visits

Lab Testing

Are lab tests included in visit costs?

Laboratory testing is billed separately from clinic visits.

Testing may include:

• comprehensive thyroid panels
• hormone testing
• adrenal and cortisol assessment
• metabolic testing
• gut health analysis

If you plan to use insurance for standard labs, your actual out-of-pocket cost depends entirely on your deductible and coinsurance — we cannot predict or control what your health insurance company will charge you.

Before any labs are ordered, Dr. Baptist will review the specific tests being recommended and prepare your exact lab order. You’ll receive a copy of that order to call your health insurance company directly, so you can confirm your real, personal cost before anything is submitted.

Nothing is sent to the lab without your go-ahead.

I’m very grateful that I am a patient of Dr. Baptist. She has been an excellent provider because Dr. Summer figured out how to control my hormones imbalance that I have been dealing with for awhile. Her treatment has been very successful and I feel my body is responding well. In fact, I have not felt myself for couple of years and as soon I started Dr.Baptist treatment I have been feeling healthier and more confident about my body. I truly recommend her expertise and care. She is also very knowledgeable and friendly. So if you’re looking for a provider that listens to your concerns do yourself a favor and try Dr. Baptist.
